< BACK TO WORKS                  „FACING THE WORLD“                  Photography                  2 Lambdaprints,  twice 60 x 80 cm                  2009                                                                                                                          The world, the large and vast unknown, there outside… In this dyptich photo work I get in contact with it with the help of all „audiovisual sense prostheses “, which are in instantaneous reach for me. Ready for action I opened the door on a mild day in January. I would catch it, the magic moment, in which the things assemble to the perfect motive as by the influence from higher forces. Draped and equipped with altogether 23.56 kg of technology on my body I made it three floors deeper and got even save up to the pavement. Then it went black before my eyes… °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° Die Welt, die große Unbekannte, da draußen... In dieser zweiteiligen Fotoarbeit nehme ich Kontakt mit ihr auf und zwar mit Hilfe sämtlicher „audio-visuellen Sinnesprothesen“, die mir in unmittelbarer Reichweite standen. Voller Tatendrang öffnete ich an einem milden Januartag die Tür. Ich würde ihn schon erwischen, den magischen Augenblick, an dem sich die Dinge wie durch den Einfluß von höherer Gewalt zum perfekten Motiv fügen. Behängt und ausgerüstet mit insgesamt 23,56 kg Technik am Leib schaffte ich es drei Stockwerke tief und kam unbeschadet bis zur Bordsteinkante. Dann wurde mir schwarz vor Augen...     TOP  of the page
