After each gulp I burb and hence say to myself: "Ich bin´s" ("It's me") - a statement which is an act of self-affirmation, self-insurance, and self-questioning all at once. Then, I place the bottle at my mouth to drink again. My burbs become stronger and one can watch me struggling to gain control over this reflex. A subtle and honest game between a teen-age burlesque and a real existential crisis. °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° Vor dem Spiegel stehend leere ich einen Liter Coca-Cola aus der Flasche. Nach jedem Schluck muß ich rülpsen und sage mir daraufhin „Ich bin´s“, bevor ich erneut die Flasche ansetze - als Selbstbestätigung, Selbstversicherung und Selbstbefragung zugleich. Die Rülpser werden stärker und ich kämpfe um die Kontrolle über diesen Reflex. Ein feines und ehrliches Spiel zwischen pubertärer Karikatur und echter Existenzkrise.     TOP  of the page
