They represent three „items of clothing“ (a „little black number“, a bikini and a pair of tights) affixed to the ceiling with wire and perlon-cord. In the objects I have placed small speakers and two theremins, whose antennae wind their way through the crotchd wire, generating an electromagnetic field. If an observer approaches, his body acts as a source of friction in the system, and the speakers emit sounds into the room. The closer the observer gets to the objects, the louder the sounds become. They can also be touched - the individual skin resistance and type of touch play a role here – with every beholder responding differently to the objects. If no contact is made to the installation, it remains silent. °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° Nach meinem mentalen Augenmaß auf meinen Körper habe ich drei Objekte gefertigt. Durch das Häkeln war es mir möglich, die Auseinandersetzung mit meinen Körper und dem Beziehungsgeflecht, in dem sich die Repräsentation des weiblichen Körpers immer befindet, konkret festzuhalten. Die Proportionen dokumentieren einen performativen Akt. In diese Körperhülsen sind Miniatur-Lautsprecher implantiert, die Sounds und meine Stimme in den Raum emissieren, sobald man sich ihnen nähert - denn im Innern der Objekte befinden sich Theremine, deren Antennen sich durch das Häkelwerk ziehen und ein elektromagnetisches Spannungsfeld kreieren. Der Körper des Betrachters wirkt als Störfaktor auf dieses System. Er steuert durch die Virtuosität seiner Annäherung die Sounds aus den Lautsprechern an. Dabei spielt der individuelle Hautwiderstand und die Art der Berührung eine Rolle – jedem Betrachter antworten die Objekte anders. Die sinnliche Dimension der Kontaktaufnahme mit der Installation wird so zu einer intimen Erfahrung und verstärkt unbewußt ablaufende Prozesse                                                 TOP of the page
