Their approach is more likely to show the process of music making as a performance rather than giving a normal concert. In evocative actions, their musical production appears like a trip through soundscapes of noise, broken soundimages and a sometimes dreamy, sometimes scary use of human voice. During their performances on-site improvisations melt together with pre-arranged chords. Selfmade electronics, everyday-items and found-on-the-road-gadgets are also used as instruments. By looping and layering acoustic events, „Les éclairs“ explore the poetry of the moment on the edge of feedback and distortion. Every appearance of „Les éclairs“ is a situationistic reflection of the context of representation. °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° „Les éclairs“ sind Peter Simon und Freya Hattenberger, die beide ihren künstlerischen Hintergrund in zeitgenössischer Performance- und Medienkunst haben. Ihr Ansatz ist es, den Prozess der Klangerzeugung als Performance zu verstehen, anstatt ein „normales“ Konzert zu geben. In evokativen Aktionen erscheint ihre Musik wie ein Trip durch zerbrochene Klangbilder, geräuschhafte Soundscapes, begleitet vom manchmal träumerisch wirkenden, manchmal unheimlich klingenden Einsatz menschlicher Stimme. Während ihrer Performances verschmelzen vor Ort-Improvisationen mit bereits arrangierten Akkorden. Selbst gebaute Elektronik, Alltagsegenstände und Unterwegs-Gefundenes werden ebenfalls als Instrumente eingesetzt. Indem sie akustische Ereignisse loopen und überlagern, erforschen „Les éclairs“ die Poesie des Augenblicks am Rande von Feedback und Verzerrung. Jeder Auftritt von „Les éclairs“ ist eine situationistische Reflektion auf den Kontext der Aufführung. |
