Two monitors show a female body in pieces – it´s extremities, the head and the feet. The video installation deals with the (visual) expectations placed on the female/ feminity and questions stereotype presentation. To the muse born from the waves my body replies with actions as a cipher of refusal and protest.

A sight pure and exempt from prejudices stays difficult in regard to the female body. The (dead) marble woman as a imagery principle became an ideal in visual culture. So well reflected and so idyllically the representations of the female turn out now and then – the problem to liberate the nude from mythology rests unsolved.

2 Monitore zeigen jeweils einen Frauenkörper im Anschnitt - und zwar seine beiden Enden, die Füße und den Kopf. Die Videoinstallation behandelt die (visuelle) Erwartungshaltung an das Weibliche - auf die Muse und die Schaumgeborene antwortet mein Körper mit Aktionen vor der Kamera als Chiffre der Verweigerung und des Protestes.

Ein reines, vorurteilsfreies Sehen in Bezug auf den weiblichen Körper bleibt schwierig. Die ideale (weil tote) Marmorfrau als Prinzip im Bild ist fest im kulturellen Gedächtnis der Gesellschaft verankert. So gut und so idyllisch die Darstellungen des Weiblichen mitunter geraten - das Problem, den Akt von Mythologie zu befreien, ist nach wie vor nicht gelöst.
